1. perspective and attitude can make or break practically anything or anyone. 2. you have GOT to trust your intuition. 3. find your gifts and passions--nurture and use them for all they're worth:)

Share a memory of your grandparents (or another older friend).

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 24, 2007:

my mom's mother is the only grandparent i knew.  she came to live with us when she was dying of pancreatic cancer when i was about 7. before she died, she crocheted an afghan for both me and my sister. she made one specifically for each of us, but when the time came to give them to us, she spread them both out and let us choose. crazily enough, i chose the one she intended for me, and my sister chose the one intended for her. they fit our personalities perfectly...my sister's quieter and more introverted than i am--her yarn was pink, lavender and grey.  mine was every color of the rainbow at it's most vibrant:  fire engine red, bright orange, canary yellow, bright green, cobalt blue, and deep purple--so i guess you can tell what kind of personality i am, hahaha!  i fell in love with it on sight. and i guess my grandma marshall knew us both better than we did at the time. what a wonderful gift, from such a wonderful lady :)
