What have you been missing?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for March 05, 2008:

journaling with my right hand. i had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago, so i can't journal right now. it's kind of bizarre, but it's becoming very clear how integral it is to my connection and sense of myself. and typing/writing with my left hand doesn't cut it! there's something about the physical act of pen-to-paper with my right hand that helps my jumbled mind process and sort things out. it is my main tool for checking in, calming down, and listening for inner guidance. i have no access at a time when i could realllly use it! i have to admit, it's frustrating.

Whew! That must be tough! I write things down if I want to remember them. If I just sit and listen to someone I will never remember anything that they've said. If I write it down I will remember it much more quickly and clearly. I never go back and re read what I wrote!

Journaling has not ever been something that I've been very good at. I can't imagine not being able to talk my feelings thru though! That's why I must like blogging so much. People can comment on my thoughts and I don't feel so alone with them! So if your journaling is anything like my 'talking things thru' to get comfort, then you must be the most miserable person right now!

Hugs of sympathy and hopes that your shoulder mends QUICKLY!
